Tomorrow is the second anniversary of the publication of my first Danny Lancaster crime thriller.
The Wreck Of The Margherita appeared on March 25, 2012, and has been followed by Death Squad, Rough Diamond and Rock Hard.
In that time Danny has developed a dedicated following of enthusiastic fans and I am truly grateful to each and every one of them for their support and words of encouragement. They are the people who really make the long hours pounding a keyboard worthwhile.
The books are available as ebooks and paperbacks. All four have spent much of their short lives in the top ONE per cent of the Amazon paid titles chart. They have never stepped out of the top 10 per cent.
So where next? All I can say is “utrinque paratus” – Danny is ready for anything.
Man walking around with two ferrets sat in his jacket. Only in Brighton.
This week I’m attending the Verulam Writers’ Circle’s 7th annual Get Writing conference at Herts Uni.
Writers attending include MR Hall (Jenny Cooper coroner series), William Ryan (Captain Korolev) and Emlyn Rees, author of the Danny Shanklin crime thriller Hunted and organiser of Brighton’s Dark & Stormy crime festival in May.
I’ve never been to an event like this before and I’m really looking forward to it. Might be a steep learning curve but stepping out of your comfort zone is always good for a writer.
